Rev. Darrell Debowey
BIO: I received a BA from Concordia College, Ann Arbor. I majored in Biblical Languages, General Science, Biology 
I received an MS from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I concentrated in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. 
I spent 14 years in biomedical research. At the U of M, I spent 2.5 years in a neuroscience lab studying movement disorders, then 4 years in cardiovascular clinical research. I was then employed by the Cleveland Clinic where I spent another 7 years in cardiovascular clinical research. 
After Cleveland, I moved my family to Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, where I received an M.Div. 
My first parish was Immanuel Lutheran Church, Springfield, IL. During my time in Springfield, I taught courses in Life Issues and Marriage and the Family at Lutheran High School. After 14 years at Immanuel, I received a call to serve Zion Lutheran Church in Laramie, Wyoming. I served Zion for almost 7 years. I retired from the ministry in March of 2024.  
My wife, Candace, and I have been married for 46 years. We have two sons, David (Beth) and Jonathan (Hope). They both reside in Illinois. Jon and Hope have given us one grandson, Bo, who is 16 months old. 
Candace and I continue to reside in Laramie for the time being. 


Mrs. Michelle Bauman
BIO:  Michelle served 21 years as a Lutheran educator before joining the Lutherans for Life team in June 2019. Currently serving as national Y4Life and YA For Life Director, Michelle helps youth of all ages learn about life issues and how to address them from a Gospel-motivated perspective. She also supports the building and maintaining of Y4Life Teams on high school and college campuses across the nation. When not presenting, writing, or hosting events for Y4Life or YA For Life, Michelle loves traveling, hiking, sampling gluten-free pastries, and spending quality time with her husband, sons, and daughter-in-love.
