Rev. Daniel Freeman
BIO: The Rev. Daniel L. Freeman son of Keith and Sharon Freeman was born in Corvallis, Oregon on December 21, 1972. He was reborn of water and the Spirit at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Corvallis on January 21, 1973.
He was raised in Albany, Oregon where he graduated from West Albany High School in 1991. In 1995, He graduated with a B.A. in Theological Studies from Concordia College in Portland, Oregon. He attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (when it was on DeMun; before it moved to Seminary Place) where he graduated with an M.Div. in 1999.
He served as pastor of Grace and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran churches in Three Forks and Ennis, Montana from 1999-2002 and has served as pastor of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, U.A.C. in Chehalis, Washington from 2002 – present.
While attending Concordia College, he met his future wife, Dawn Iverson. They were married in Damascus, Oregon in March of 1997. The Lord has blessed (and, at times, befuddled) them with four children, Hannah, Rachel, Jonah, and Abigail. Hannah and her husband, Anthony, have provided them with the blessing of three adorable and handsome grandchildren, Emma, James, and Felicity. Abigail and her husband, Josh, have provided a fourth grandchild still living comfortably in the womb.
Pastor Freeman enjoys both fishing and hunting and finds that catching and killing are not absolutely necessary for their enjoyment. (Many years, it’s a good thing he feels that way.)
